SHRSL Meet Rules and Regulations: The Marlins are part of the Southwest Houston Recreational Swim League (SHRSL). The League rules and regulations governing the meets are available at www.shrsl.org.

Qualifications to be on the Marlins Swim Team

1. Swimmers must be at least 4 years old by May 31, 2010; swimmers must be no older than 18 years of age by May 31, 2010.

2. Swimmers must be able to swim 25 yards, the length of the pool, without any assistance by June 4^th. If they cannot do so, they will be asked to wait until next year to practice and/or swim with the team.

3. Parent involvement is required. If any parent is found to have missed scheduled volunteer shifts, their child(ren) may not be heated at future meets this season.

4. Swimmers are expected to participate in 4 of our 6 swim meets. (Please register your swimmer(s) for the practice team if you will not be able to participate in at least 4 meets).

5. You must not swim for anyone else after April 1, 2010 or you will be disqualified by the League. SHRSL rules provide that by April 1^st you will need to stop participating in all non-SHRSL practices and meets, except for middle and high school swim team practices, and except for swim clinics and camps not exceeding 7 total days of instruction. www.shrsl.org
